World renown artist Julyan Davis has painted a series of work based on the dark undercurrents of the Appalachian Murder Ballads. Join Julyan, noted author Richard underwood as we explore the stories handed down to me from the singers of Madison County.

I'll be co-odinating the Ballad Swap at 1:30 in the Petersen Conference Center. shis year promises to be one of the exciting ever with a stage full of singers ranging in age from 15 to 93. This is one of the few old-time ballad swaps left at North Carolina festivals now. Mr. Lunsford was an avid "love Song" collector and always promoted and protected our WNC Ballad Tradition. Don't miss it!
